When the Google Chrome Web Store came out I was hopeful. Finally, a real reason to code JavaScript all day and to be able to determine my financial future writing desktop apps that also work in the browser.

Fast forward to today and I'm not sure if it has momentum. This article does a great job of highlighting the reasons I've observed the past few years:
