I think we idealize our jobs. They're stressful and dangerous. Stress, obesity, back, blood circulation and respiratory problems do kill eventually.

Then there is depression, working alone, never going outside.

But hey, you could always become a consultant: travel much, eat badly, work everywhere, ignore ergonomics...

And one more thing, I wouldn't compare myself to the millions of unemployed, or low-wage workers, but to the upper middle class.
