It does feel like we have moved backwards. To go off topic a bit I think the social interaction aspect of net has become quite central atleast in my computer usage and it feels strange that it's hard to express across applications that this person is the same pseudonym and I am very interested in contacting him but don't really care via which protocol it happens. Now we have systems build around files and maybe pipes, but there should be global metaphors for the 'who'. Who are you trying to reach, who did this file, who could read this.
