Interesting; this post has exposed a problem in the styling of HN, forcing horizontal scrolling.

Styling? Look at the source, HN is full of

<center><table><tr><td><u><font color=#000000>outdated HTML</td></tr></table></center>

This is an old, well-known issue. It just rarely occurs.

It's unlikely it will be fixed though.

I mean "rarely occurs" in the sense that folks rarely post things with really long lines. Most of us have better sense than that.
