There’re 2 constraints at work here- any piece of software only needs go as fast people will put up with.

The subtler one is that if interactive software goes too fast, people get suspicious.

These are human constraints, which means they’ll tend to eat up every tech improvement, dragging things back to just as slow as before.

But I think they’re cultural - not innate. Better education can lead the market to demand better.
