While I get your point, the right in 2025 has largely also abandoned the past, for a crypto-AI post-institutional future.

I hardly see anyone looking to the past for ways to Make America Great Again.

I truly don’t think Reagan could get elected today. I think he would be considered too Naive, and not enough of a fighter. Too woke perhaps even — just look at the need to rewrite is views on free trade.
