Britain never said they would 'storm' the embassy. They merely reminded Ecuador that their lawyers believed they could legally enter the embassy given appropriate notice (7 days). That is hardly 'storming'.

Fair enough, but consider that although couched in diplomatic language the letter is nonetheless a threat.
