I definitely struggle with this, and I feel like option 2 is the way to go, but just thinking about doing that is daunting, and seems like there is little hope that you can bring about any change. I guess one thing we all can do is strive to be better to each other in our relationships, and make the world better in just small way.

This is something I wish everyone would read and learn from.

You can do so much good if you focus on what you can actually influence.
