And for what? Rich capital holders to get access to technology that furthers their wealth and allows them to lay off more labourers? The promise that some of its uses may potentially save the lives of rich people?
Nothing this administration is doing is terribly surprising. They're being very open about it. Good luck getting chip foundries set up, importing rare earth metals and sand, dealing with the ponds, and handling all the methane needed to power all of the DCs we're going to build. I don't understand how their isolationist, nationalist stance is supposed to support this technology and keep them, "the leader in AI." Sounds ridiculous. Global supply chains and stable free-trade agreements got us here.
