I created Ruby Advent (http://advent2008.hackruby.com), which was inspired by 24ways(httpL//24ways.org). It was actually turned out to be a great experience. I got the opportunity to connect with many renowned Ruby Hackers and learn bunch of awesome stuff myself. Also, I sincerely hope other Rubyists too enjoyed the series.
