Science is about facts, evidences and models, theory. If someone belive in something without critical thinking, was missing one key fact that made science successfull.. and can become propaganda, or even worse, so often the need of so many peoples in something to believe, will transform even the arguments of science in something similar to religious beliefs.
But even religions have a -logic-, ethics and moral, and without become fanatism.
This days, so many claims more or less scientific become propaganda, is not a problem of science, but big parts of societ are missing the capacity to understand ad use the scientific knowledge, and often even the simplest logic about everydays facts..
