There is no such thing as growth. There is only reallocation. The diameter of the Earth is not increasing, and as population increases, friction increases with an exponent larger (even if only very slightly) than 1, so the overall global economy is definitionally negative-sum. Reallocation can look sustainable, until it doesn't.
