The enduring symbolism of the swimming pool (wallpaper.com)

"Zima Blue," from Netflix's Love, Death & Robots (s1e14), is worth a watch for those interested in the intersection of art and swimming pools. Haunting episode, and one of my favorite from that season.

Cool. Didn't know it was based on an Alastair Reynolds story. (Also Beyond the Aquila Rift ...)

It's another review of a museum exhibit.

Now, this is the symbolism of the swimming pool.[1] Music video, the early years. From "Footlight Parade", 1933.

It's really hard to keep a swimming pool clean. Most of the design is utilitarian.

People cry that potable water reserves are depleting, but nobody would resign from their swimming pools. Hypocrisy at its greatest.
