I can get a Zebra printer (ZD621), I can get badge blanks. But I can't find an open source (or even paid but not SaaS) software suite that will allow checkin and badge printing at an event.

The ideal workflow would be an app for iPad or even a computer app that you could import an CSV of names and companies into, and then people can search, find their name, and print a badge. The only ones I've found either print to a standard printer (quite clunky and low-quality cut by hand badges) or require massive yearly subscriptions.

If there's nothing out there at all, I may have to try to make one myself.
