I agree. I saw recently that a company was doing layoffs, and I learned that they had this $100k investment program in companies their employees create that meet some criteria.

I think this is a great idea. I always thought the ycombinator terms were absolutely ridiculous, and while there is great value to being a part of YC with regards to the network, etc.. it is hard for me to really take it seriously.

I wish the government could do something like this, but going on PPP loans ... I feel like there are too many people who would take advantage of the system :(
