I hate mental health discussions, it's always a trainwreck. I myself was a mental health patient and I can only speak from my experience that others seem very keen on dismissing or invalidating if it doesn't fit their worldview.
Not everyone can make those changes (it requires to have some energy at first at least, and the ability to stick to it), and those interventions are actually used already (and have been for a long time) so I assume this may lead instead to some research on targeting the metabolic pathways
The Paleo folks point out that humans were hunter-gatherers for hundreds of thousands of years, and really have only had a few generations since the invention of agriculture. They then study the few remaining Hunter-gatherer societies as a model for how humans were evolved to live. I like the idea, but data is scarce, and humans are so adaptable it’s hard to make any firm statements.
