We have had some good help of the community on several devices after people made an initial implementation, even when the initial device support was limited and not complete. @mormegil would you mind to open up a PR? It is hard to estimate if people come and help, but it is worth the try. Thank you!
Unfortunately, I never made the notifications to work (which were my main motivation...) and the work stalled. However, it is working.
