This is more-or-less a line-for-line port at the moment (though, a number of C++ primitives had to be implemented in C in order to do that). It took a few weeks of coding to get this in a state where I'm comfortable open sourcing it, but I figure this may be useful to those who are averse to linking to libstdc++ for their C projects.
