Your point is taken, but I think it's kind of clear Facebook's only strategies are "lie" and "copy/buy everyone else"


And it worked perfectly fine, they only missed TikTok. Whatsapp and Instagram were perfect acquisitions.


Worked is debatable - sure, it worked for them, but they made those platforms worse for consumers


Facebook succeeded because it made money, which is the primary objective of for-profit companies. The government (and people) represent the interests of the people, usually.
