The UX sucks, but if you did know where climate control features are hidden, why would you not assume the demister function is elsewhere? UX is interesting because what is seemingly common sense to me (demister = climate control) is totally not to others.

Cars like the model 3 use resistive heaters built into the windscreen to de-mist, so hitting that button doesn’t always result in the climate control running full tilt.
