If we think about it jetpacks, jet-wingsuites and similar are all expensive, hard and dangerous to use technology with very little practical use.
So if you are not in a super hero movie where even heros with a supposedly normal human body tend to have an absurdly sturdy body there is just but much rain why we should care.
Which isn't that people aren't trying, I mean France parades a hoverboard based scout, looks impressive, but I dubt the practical use of it (loud, due to instability can't hit anything, wind kills it, can probably be killed by any random camera drone, camera drone do the job better)
