That is the main goal of the server. In my opinion, it is a pretty good idea to run a lightning node so that you help the network and "help yourself".

I have no use for operating a Bitcoin node, as far as I'm concerned it's a waste of resources and extra unnecessary attack surface. How are they able to justify that?
