The Bluetooth modem is a Broadcom chip (BCM43455), and it needs to be loaded with proprietary software before it's useful to us.

Are there any efforts out there to create open-source firmware for this chip?



I looked for a long time, but to no avail. Broadcom are notoriously tight-lipped when it comes to their intellectual property.
