Can we get a correction on this headline, or consider using the primary source [0]? The current title is inaccurate - clinicaltrials.gov reports 5 active studies with BioNTech‘a mRNA vaccine, BNT122 [1]. First-in-human solid tumor data was reported by Braiteh et al at AACR last year [2].

The headline should read: “First patient dosed in Phase II trial of mRNA-based vaccine for colorectal cancer.”

I’m having trouble reading the text. Did it work?


This is just an announcement saying that they have given the treatment to the 1st of a planned 200 patients in a trial. They will use that trial to determine the efficacy but they don’t have any results yet. There is no indication in the article for when they expect to see results.
