Yes. This. One point in time you would have thought having everything on your Smartphone, everything simple was utopia. But reality is we need better power structure and separation of concerns. Or in reality I lost trust with Apple.

Digital IDs should always be in addition to physical IDs, even if you just leave the latter at home most of the time.

My philosophy if buying a "smart" device is that they must "fail dumb"... I won't buy a smart lock that doesn't use a key as backup, for instance.
