Because it's hidden in one of the captions:

The volume fraction of wood in the resulting product appears to be around 33%. So by volume it's two-thirds resin and one-third wood.

I was hoping the wood fraction would be slightly higher to justify calling it "transparent wood".



Glass isn't 'pure glass' either. But it is 70-75% silica so that's better.


I read about this yesterday and wondered the same. Disappointing.
