This was in the time of dumbphones, which had battery life on the span of days, not hours. Compared to cell phones back then, it was relatively abysmal to need to charge your phone once a day. Even Blackberries didn't require daily charging back then IIRC.


For sure. I remember my Ericsson T39 was multi-days, and I think the extended battery (which made it thicker) took it to... 9 days? Maybe more? Insane. Of course, the screen was never on because there was nothing to do with it :)
