The dynamics will ensure that it goes on. It isn't all that different than the illusion of democracy in the broader world. It takes much more than just the awareness of the gimmick to expose and address it.
I definitely don't think it will go away. I meant more that now a bunch of people who previously didn't think this way who work in tech companies have read this essay, so some fraction of them are going to start acting in accordance with it.
