So here is my approach to procrastination. Let yourself work on something for 15 minutes and stop if you don't want to continue after that. If you do, set a hard limit on how much time you spend doing that thing.
For instance, cleaning the house. Spend 15 minutes doing it but no more than 2 hours. See how long you can go. This simple rule gets me to the gym and for runs in the morning, doing my taxes, etc.
