Maybe its because I write small software or customize existing mature Enterprise apps. I just dont care about the dogma so much. I think there is a lot to like about OOP. There is a lot to like about functional code. I use both quite a bit with C#. Dont get me wrong though, Im glad people do think about this and try to make software paradigms better. I just dont find that I am overly hampered with current tool sets to worry about this stuff.

Most importantly, I think this is just all talk. This is John D. Cook just spitballing with a contemporary and debating things. I bet the other person in the conversation is probably not all that convicted of his argument and is throwing an exasperated take out there...
