Out of curiosity - if a memoized DOM is faster than virtual, why doesnt the React team to move that?

I wonder if its technical complexity and what it would be under the hood. I know Fiber was redone recently-ish.



If you're "reacting" to a lot of changes, I suspect memorizing might end up ballooning your memory usage.


Could be that memoization can be implemented in user land so it takes lower priority
