I was curious at what determines medical prices after recent stay in hospital, my bill was bizarre and it seemed that different hospitals charge substantially different amounts. So I wrote a medical pricing app to explore hospital bills and medicare reimbursement

I still don't understand why pricing so different throughout the country, but at least there is a pretty app to visualize it
