Money is the only thing that consistently defies outcomes... Specifically liability that puts profit at risk. Unlike statutory engineers, programmers/AI experts/etc have no professional obligation to act ethically, and it’s a fools errand to assume that they will act to prevent unethical conduct. History has repeatedly proven this assertion out.
