I can't understand HN's algo. This story is 5 hours old with 202 comments and 552 points, and currently ranked at 15 on my list. Whereas there's another story 8 hours old with 89 points that's at 4. It always strikes me as more than a coincidence when startups that YC is affiliated with (Slack has purchased a few YC alum companies) get their bad news briefly commented on, then buried.
Yeah this dropped off the front page very quickly. Came back to find the comments probably half an hour after viewing it at the 5th spot, but it was no longer there.
It's obvious why it's done but always serves as a reminder of HNs lack of impartiality on submissions.
