Your game just told me "Ponzi" isn't a word. I feel like Wordle wouldn't have done that, and anyway at least it has the courtesy to say "not in word list" which is very different from the outright lie that your game just told me.
Lots of word game dictionaries don’t contain proper nouns. Ponzi is an interesting example because it’s now used as the definitive for what it is, so words like that are hit or miss. Other examples that might or might not be in dictionaries are Kleenex, Xerox, etc.
Advances in biotech are happening at an extraordinary pace, and it has been going on for decades. iGEM is celebrating its 20th year of synthetic biology competitions. https://igem.org/
"I'd be fine with removing all the LinkedIn examples from the website, but I'd like to continue building Browserflow..." -- my advice is to do just that. IANAL but you will be in the right (not always the same as being on the right side of the law, but more important imo).
You're not off base. Paul Ehrlich was right, the population bomb has exploded, the Earth's resources are stretched and breaking. That's the trouble at the root.
You are begging the question.[1] The question wasn't "what is the cause?" but rather "what is the solution?" which you fail to answer, as in: how can we prevent "the media" from pushing faux moral intellectualism? Note, I'm not addressing the question of whether that's the true cause or not. But, assuming it is -- what can be done about it? Is calling out "the media" on HN enough?
[1] in the older sense of the phrase; nowadays most people use it differently, but it originally meant ~"answering without really answering".
I worked with two other devs, they both seemed nice at first. But the one who was nicer left, and the other one turned out to be an alcoholic, with accompanying mood swings.
I can relate. My strategy for work/life balance has been 1. get hired; 2. work hard while learning new stuff; 3. slack off; 4. get fired (layed off); 5. goto 1
Not that I recommend it, just fwiw. Contract work with time between gigs might help, if you can afford the medical premiums (in the U.S.).
