I'd expect every new laptop to have at least one Usb-c on both sides by now.

It'd be great if they could make an extension with more than one port on it, they're wide enough for more.

What is so wrong about the pixel 4a?

Nobody's going to pimp up CPU and Camera specs every year on a phone people claim is to just take calls and leave in their pocket.

What kind of visual components are visually different between 60 and 120hz?

I do dev and browsing work at 30hz and the only thing I notice is the little gaps when moving the mouse fast.

The mouse is a big problem for me. I didn't used to care either, but started using a 144Hz monitor years ago and now it's hard for me to go back. Even my TV is 120Hz.

I just notice discomfort when my monitor isn't >90Hz or so. On Windows it occasionally will reset to 60Hz, maybe due to video card driver updates? I could probably re-adjust back to 60Hz in a few weeks but I don't see the point of going through the discomfort, especially when I occasionally do play games where the higher frame rate makes a much more drastic difference.

Depends on the type of scrolling you use. Smooth scrolling feels a lot better with higher refresh rates, but obviously step-by-step scrolling doesn't really get any benefits.

Interesting how so many of their benchmarks are based on the number of 8k stream they can playback or edit at once but OSX doesn't support outputting to 8K resolution. Most likely crippled until Apple come up with their own 8K monitors.

The new Studio Display appears to be 5K so it wouldn't surprise me if the second generation of that will be 8K,

How do you expect to choose which account to get in if there isn't a list to choose from?

Currently in Lastpass If you have one account it's auto filled making it a single click.

I would assume it only works if you have a single account. That's the most common situation, though.

LastPass has the option to autofill and auto-submit. 1Password doesn't, but that's my guess for what's coming.

At least 3 times in the last week I've noticed that trying to search for information that is not the government narrative about covid vaccine leads to the crappiest piece of garbage having an attempt at discrediting whatever I'm searching on.

Google / YouTube suggestion engine is now evil and corrupt to the bone.

I tend to forget the 4-5 subscriptions I pay for, and where is which content, so I use streamio most of the time.

The problem is that none of the major OS seems to allow for multiple factor authentication.

The bitcoin mining equipment have no other purpose than mining bitcoin so eventually once the block subsidy halves these miners will be sitting idle until someone need to process a contentious transaction (paying high network fee).

Didn't read the rest, btw forks of a chain like bcash doesn't have much to do with immutability.

Brave browser for mobile has only benefits. (the one that is based on chrome)
