I just tried "Hello World" with ChatGPT 5.1. After a while, it responded with a bunch of Cyrillic text.

I get the same, but translating it the Cyrillic text is describing the input has a bunch of invisible or non-standard characters etc - i.e. the amount of unicode and lack of other prompt led it to not know to respond in English. Including an English prompt like "What does this text say?" before feeding it the text causes it to respond in English with something like:

> It’s “corrupted” with lots of zero-width and combining characters, but the visible letters hidden inside spell:

> Hello World

> If you want, I can also strip all the invisible characters and give you a cleaned version.

I'd just paste a share link but I'm not sure how to/if you can make those accessible outside of the members of a Team workspace.

DC is tap in tap out. But you can buy a single trip ticket. It would be sort of dystopian if we had to give up anonymous public transit access to prevent homeless folks from staying warm.

I did for a year in DC. There were some folks who were struggling - talking to themselves, intoxicated, fragrant. I sort of liked it. Made me feel alive.

I take the bus a lot in DC. People get on without paying all the time. If someone just wants to sit on the bus, the fee is not what's stopping them.

The fee gives a reason to kick them off. Portland's trimet recently made it a policy to not allow sleeping which means the transit police can now intervene when the opioid addict does his dose on the train. Meanwhile the tired professionals are left alone. As it should be

It seems like the more straight forward version of that policy is 'no drugs on the train'. Allowing selective enforcement is a sure path to unintended consequences.

Nah the consequences are more riders. That's a great consequence.

> no drugs on the train

Nonsense. I'd rather have people carry their illegal drugs on the train and take them at home. The issue is people experiencing the effects of the drug on the train and often times making it unsafe for women, children, and men too (it doesn't really matter what your sex is when the drugged out man vomits on you). I honestly don't care if you carry your illegal drugs everywhere, as long as you make sure the effects of said drugs are dealt with privately. I have major issues with people making the consequences of their drug use other people's problem

Pretty sure GP meant "no doing drugs on the train" not "no possessing drugs on the train"

They will just get on another bus. Meanwhile the entire bus will be slowed down by the inspectors asking everyone to leave the bus so they can check for payment or by holding up passengers exiting at connection stations.

I downloaded the iOS app. I like the simplicity. I wonder if it could even be a bit simpler.

I currently do a quarterly financial review. I document the balances from all of my accounts.

In addition to buy/sell/deposit/withdrawl, could Wealthfolio have an option to just add a balance. I suppose In the meantime, I'll make do with deposits and withdrawals.

Last, could you make it a little easier to find to donate button? Or possible at all? Now that I have the app open, I can't find where to send a one time payment.

Yes actually you can just click the edit icon near the account balance in account page to update the cash balance

It's a fair question. I found them way better to implement SSO in my small startup than OneLogin.

Using Auth0 in apps, I find their documentation bafflingly difficult to read. It's not like being thrown in the deep end unexpected to swim. It's like being injected at the bottom of the deep end.God help the poor non-native English speakers on my team who have to slog through it.

Yeah. That falls in the same bin as number of Olympic swimming pools or distance to the moon.

The best, meaningful comparison I've read is from Bill Bryson in A Short History of Nearly Everything. In it, he notes that there are 1M seconds in 11 days but 1B seconds takes 32 years.

Extortion. You got a nice little game server there. Would be a shame if anything happened to it.

I'm not sure why you're being downvoted, this is literally what keeps happening to me. I run a couple private MMO servers, I regularly get hit with DDoS attacks and clowns like this guy DMing me to demand money to stop attacking my servers:

Yes, and the poster wants to understand them.

How would you have responded?

Not like a dick like he did. No lets jump into a quick call while ignoring everything OP said. It's clear a quick call will not solve this. Turn off the AI roll back all the shit it caused is the bare minimum.

Are you saying they were hard to understand or badly written? Because to me they seem to be crystal clear explanation of issues. I also did not concluded that the leaving person is "struggling" or generally need help.

"I'm. Sorry to hear this. I am going to send this message to Team XYZ and see what we can do to better improve Mozilla"

Still might not do anything, but as a CM that's as much of a job as I can do.

In the thread.

I know right? And given her age, she was a developer in the 1980s. When she finally passes, they're going to cut her open and just find a big sack of grit.
