This is interesting, do you have an example repository with that setup? My team currently uses Swagger for documentation which provides decent documentation for us, so what sort of documentation at the repository level could I gain by using this setup instead or in combination? Also, how would one detect that the documentation has been correctly updated aside from manual inference?

Swagger is not documentation, it is is a way to generate executable API examples from code comments.

Is there value in moving there for an individual who’s an employed swe, but trying to break into AI? I’d love to work for some of these startups but it seems difficult to get past the resume screen these days, and I don’t think I have that weak of a resume. If moving there would make a big impact I’d consider it, but I’m not sure where exactly in SF, and how to connect to the community while maintaining my current job remotely

> Is there value in moving there for an individual who’s an employed swe, but trying to break into AI?

Yes. If you’ve never experienced the value of an industrial cluster, it’s exhilarating. You still have to hustle. But the payoff on a single day well executed is exponential; meetings beget introductions and actions are decided on handshakes.

So if I move there I should maximize meetups? How does one filter meetups? I only ask because I do see a large quantity of meetups, but having never been there before I’m not sure what to expect, and I’m considering a short term (30-60 days) trip to determine if moving there is a good idea for my career or if I should just stick to remote work in the midwest

> should maximize meetups? How does one filter meetups?

Yes. And don't. Also, aggressively reach out to arrange bilateral meetings and ask friends for introductions. When you're at a bar, engage with those around you. (Genuinely, I might add. There are a lot of smart, interesting people in San Francisco. Also douchebags. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

There are many people who would be willing to buy these tires if your claims of being more cost-effective and better for the environment are actually true. You have a PhD in this, so why aren’t you doing it?

I don’t find that to be an accurate representation of BFF. I’ve used BFF with a browser FE to simply weave several microservice endpoints into a tailor-made api for the frontend. This reduces the burden on the microservices by removing the need to make many endpoints for clients and helps reduce network calls on the FE

Great video, thanks for sharing. Would you mind continuing on statins? Or provide a similar resource? Would love to hear it

The videos from Dr. Paul Mason on that channel about cholesterol will tell you everything you need to know about statins, LDL, atherosclerosis. The whole channel is a treasure trove of research and plenty of citations. It's just too new for your GP to be aware of it.

tl;dr: statins don't do much apart from reducing a single metric of an entire systemic disorder, and have terrible side effects, LDL is positively correlated with longevity in healthy subjects, high levels of blood sugar destroy a "marker" protein on LDL cells, they stop being recognised and reabsorbed by the liver but instead they go and accumulate under artery walls. Atherosclerosis is not caused by dietary fat, but high levels of dietary fat paired with high levels of blood sugar.

In general, high levels of sugar alone are worse by all metrics that high levels of dietary fat, and very recent research seems to suggest mitochondria work better burning fatty acids than glucose (to be clear, the chemical pathway is exactly the same, but fatty acids skip a couple steps and produce fewer free radicals)

Not sure what’s wrong with your setup but this has worked pleasantly well for me for quite some time now

If Apple can give me an allergen outlook similar to Accuweather I’ll finally be able to swap. This update was quite nice, but the allergy watch has helped me proactively respond to seasonal allergies which is hard to pass up on. A more granular detail of air quality would be nice as well, but I don’t need it to switch

I went from WSJ to Barron’s to Barron’s and Bloomberg to now just Bloomberg. As far as unsubscribing from any of those I haven’t found it too difficult
