The people staying on streaming platforms are going to have a hard time justifying the price hikes in the coming years. The next few years are going to be a drought of new content. Part of me feels these hikes are likely due to both greed and the writers protest.
I feel we are now on abusing users part of "How platforms die".
Maybe this has something with the norm being +1000$ flagship-phones?
Maybe it has something to do with state of the world and the recent price hikes?
Maybe it is the lack of new features or wow factor?
I feel like most techs keep our phone a bit longer.
Me personally, I tend to upgrade every 3 generations.
This is nothing new in the console space. They have always had a brand standards for accessories since Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis.
This is just the evolution of consoles always being online.
I can honestly say, at least with Microsoft they will ask nicely.
Nintendo on the other hand will brick your devices out right.
This past year I deleted my Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
I can honestly say, it has improved my overall mental health, and I now find myself learning more computer things with my time.
