Gods behave in many ways. Some are jealous and quick to anger, and others are inhumanly patient. Some forbid alcohol to their followers, and others get drunk and beat up giants. Some descent to earth in the form of a bull to conduct illicit sexual liaisons with mortals, and others lack reproductive organs altogether. However, without exception, one thing they all have in common is that they never conduct polite discussions of bitwise arithmetic tricks. And yet that is exactly what I see here.
Next time you decide to #include <linus/stdflame.h>, please check to make sure it actually applies to the situation.
What is annoying about this comment is that it compels me to go back and read every other comment you've written. Please write less gracefully next time.
I am aware that Linus has that reputation, but glancing over the post and comments, it seemed like a good, factual discussion in this case. Did I miss something?
But no one can deny that c++ is the most fascinating programming language in this world. You can either spend or waste as long time as you want to __LEARN__ this language and never can say I understand ALL.
C++ occupies an interesting point on the curve of fascination vs. utility, but to call it the most fascinating language (by your own definition especially) is just hyperbole.
Same here. When I saw the post, I was wondering if it is the same person, because the other hacker also used the same algorithmic implementation for the recommendation engine.
as a regular long run runner and coder, I totally agree with you. For training, not only building base is important, if you wanna achieve a good pace during marathon, running fast like a blast is part of it. More detailed, we basically have 4 phases for training.
1)acclimatizing phase,
2)building-up phase,
3)overall preparation phase, and
4)special preparation phase.
Hacktons are more like phase 4, not so accurate analogy, but the spirit is the same. Digging deep, changing the routine, a big improvement is coming.
